About Master Zend Framework (and about me, Matthew Setter)
Why I’ve Devoted Years of My Life to Zend Framework
Master Zend Framework is one of the most popular Zend Framework sites in the world. Started in 2010, the site creates content on a weekly basis to teach all there is to know about Zend Framework and show how to put it to use in projects of any size.
A Bit About Me
I’m Matthew. I’ve been developing since about 1992, and with PHP particularly, since 2001. Like many developers, I started blogging about what I’d learned, mainly as a way of cataloging everything, so that I could always refer to it later on.
Over the years, I found that I spent more and more time working with Zend Framework. As a result, what I was blogging about began to centralize around Zend Framework as well. I found that the content started registering with other developers who needed to learn the framework quickly.
Whether they were learning for a new job, or contract, whether they were stuck with a particular problem, or whether they couldn't find help anywhere else. Since that time, I've focused my blogging specifically around Zend Framework.
Today, I’m proud to say that the site has articles on all versions of Zend Framework, from version 1, to the latest - Zend Expressive. The posts are written in an easy to read style, and aim to be as relatable as possible. We’re all busy. No one really has time to read a thesis. You’ll find that all the posts are easy to take away and use - straight away.
